The 1940 Soil Water Sampler is used for deep sampling down to 300 foot (100 m) depths, or where long lateral runs are required. The sampler consists of a 2 bar (200 kPa) ceramic cup, PVC body, and an end cap. High-pressure compression fittings allow connection of polyethene vacuum and pressure tubing. The sampler is 1.9" (4.8 cm) in diameter and 27" (68.6 cm) long. Thick-wall PVC tubing and internal check valves allow for safe, high-pressure use, without risk of damage or sample loss.
